D'Addario's quality is second to none. I love the darker more 'woody' sound I get with these reeds. If you want to step up your game, step up to D'Addario.

A D'Addario Woodwinds player since 2011.

Jeff Coffin is an internationally recognized saxophonist, bandleader, composer and educator who has been traveling the globe since the late 20th Century. He is a 3x Grammy Award winner from Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, and played with them from 1997-2010. In July 2008, Jeff began touring with Dave Matthews Band, and officially joined the group in 2009 following the tragic passing of founding member LeRoi Moore. When not on the road with Dave Matthews, Coffin fronts his own group, Jeff Coffin & the Mu’tet and, in 2015, established the Nashville Jazz Composers Collective. Along the musical way, Coffin has absorbed an astounding range of influences. “Whether it be New Orleans Second Line, African, Indian Ragas, Brazilian, folk songs, Gypsy music, Alan Lomax field recordings, jazz, funk, etc., the spirit and breath of the music is what I take away from the listening and playing. It’s what decides (for me) if I like it or not…I consider it ‘Spirit Music’.” (JC) As a heavily in-demand D'addario and Yamaha Clinician, Coffin has presented well over 300 music clinics around the world to students in the US, South Africa, Australia, South America, Europe, Canada and Mexico to rave reviews. Coffin graduated with a music education degree from the prestigious University of North Texas in 1990 where he played in the acclaimed One O’Clock Lab Band. Education continues to be an important part of what Jeff shares with others, and he is a tireless champion to players of all ages and levels to discover and cultivate their own musical voice. In 2013, with jazz educator Caleb Chapman, Coffin helped write a book titled "The Articulate Jazz Musician" - which is available from Alfred Publishing (www.alfred.com). In 2014, at the Jazz Education Network (JEN) Conference Jeff was the Keynote speaker as well as a headliner with the Mu’tet. Living in Nashville, TN since 1991, Coffin continues to tour and record with Dave Matthews Band, Jeff Coffin & The Mu'tet, the Nashville Jazz Composers Collective and presents educational clinics and workshops around the world.
